1864 - Barcelona: Josep Llimona i Bruguera, Catalan sculptor, considered one of the best sculptors in the style of Modernisme.
1916 - Parets d'Empordà: Ferran Viader i Gustà, intellectual, genealogist, heraldist and historian (died 2006).
1966 - Vic, Osona: Melcior Mauri i Prat, Catalan cyclist.
1970 - Mataró, Maresme: Care Santos, Catalan writer.
1966 - Barcelona: Joan Sedó i Peris-Mencheta, Catalan collector and expert in Cervantes (born 1908).
1975 - Perpinyà, Rosselló, Catalunya Nord: Carles Grandó, Nord-catalan narrator, playwright and poet.
2007 - Torroella de Montgrí, Baix Empordà: Enric Vilà i Armengol, Catalan fiscorn and composer of sardanes.
