You will find Barcelona Airport Transport services including taxis, buses and now a metro to Barcelona City Centre outside both Terminal 1 (T1) and Terminal 2 (T2).
Both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 have bus stops and taxi ranks just outside the main building
You should follow signs for the metro station, which is inside the terminal building on Floor 0 at T1 and outside the building next to the RENFE railway station at T2.
The Rodalies local train station for trains to Barcelona City Centre and other destinations is located at Terminal 2, so if you are arriving at or departing from T1, you will have to take the shuttle bus.

The taxi rank at Terminal 1 is located on the road outside Planta 0 as you exit Arrivals. At Terminal 2, you can find taxis outside the entrances to T2A, T2B and T2C.
The journey from Barcelona Airport to Barcelona City Centre takes between 20 and 40 minutes depending on the Terminal you are leaving from and the amount of traffic you encounter en route.
The minimum price for leaving the airport and a number of different supplementary tariffs are applied for, amongst other things, suitcases and if you are travelling in the evening, at the weekend or on a holiday.
At the time of writing, a taxi journey from Terminal 2 to Plaça Espanya will cost around €25, to Plaça Catalunya round €30 and to Castelldefels around €25.
Barcelona Airport Transport from Terminal 1 is a little more expensive.
Barcelona taxi drivers are generally trustworthy and the taxi-meter will show the correct fare.
If you speak no Spanish, I suggest you have your destination address written on a piece of paper as Barcelona taxi drivers are not known for their linguistic skills.
The Local R2 Nord Rodalies line runs from Barcelona El Prat Airport via Barcelona City Centre and Granollers to Maçanet-Massanes, where you can change for Costa Brava Destinations.
The most important stations for most tourists are the Barcelona City Centre stations of Sants Estació, Passeig de Gràcia and Clot-Aragó.
All three stops are on the Barcelona Metro and Metro Tickets, the T10 and the Barcelona Card are all valid for Barcelona Airport Transport journeys into Barcelona City Centre.
Furthermore, Sants Estació is the main Barcelona Railway station and you can change there for most destinations in Catalunya and the rest of Spain.
Clot-Aragó is where you change for Costa del Maresme destinations, such as Premià and Vilassar.
The other important station on the R2 Nord line is El Prat de Llobregat itself where you change for Sitges, Castelldefels and Southern Catalunya destinations such as Salou and Cambrils.
Trains leave from and arrive to the Aeroport Station approximately every 30 minutes starting at around 5.30 am until 23.30 pm.
The Rodalies Train Station is at Terminal 2 of Barcelona Airport.
If your flight arrives at or leaves from Terminal 1 you will have to catch the shuttle bus - the Bustransit T1-T2.
There is a BusTransit stop immediately outside the RENFE station and you should follow signs inside the Terminal 1 building if your flight arrives at T1.
The journey between the terminals is free of charge and takes about 10 minutes.
The Orange L9 Sud Metro Line connects Barcelona El Prat Airport with Zona Universitaria from where you can change trains and go directly to Plaça Catalunya and the City Centre.
The southern section of the L9 Line, which has a northern section that goes from La Sagrera to Badalona, has the following stops: Zona Universitària, Collblanc, Torrassa, Can Tries/Gornal, Europa/Fira, Fira, Parc Logístic, Mercabarna, Les Moreres, El Prat Estació, Cèntric, Parc Nou, Mas Blau, Aeroport-T2 y Aeroport-T1.
Metro tickets from the airport to the city centre currently cost €4.50 and you can find the station at T! is inside the terminal on Floor 0 while the station at T2 is outside the terminal near to the RENFE train station.
There is a very varied of offer of bus and coach services at Barcelona Airport, including the Aerobus, regular daily and nightly services run by Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona and private coach services to other destinations in Catalonia and Spain.
