1955 - Sabadell - Vallès Occidental: Sergi Mateu i Vives, Catalan theatre, cinema and television actor.
1981 - Banyoles - Pla de l'Estany: Albert Corominas Bertran, Catalan canoeist.
2012 - Calonge, (Baix Empordà): Dolors Hubach i Vilarrodà, Catalan teacher.
December 26th is La Diada de Sant Esteve or the Saints' Day of Saint Stephen, one of the early Christian martyrs. In Catalonia, Sant Esteve, is the continuation of El Dia de Nadal and is a public holiday.
