1640 - Barcelona: The peasants chase the Castilian soldiers who had attacked the parish of Sant Andreu de Palomar into the city and free the military deputy Francesc de Tamarit, prisoner of the Castilians. This is the prelude to The Reapers' War (La Guerra dels Segadors).

1915 - Barcelona: Maria Antònia Simó i Andreu, one of the first female Catalan mountain climbers.
1924 - Barcelona: Rosalia Guilleumas i Brosa, librarian, philologist and director of l'Escola de Bibliologia, la Biblioteca de Catalunya, el Servei de Biblioteques de la Diputació de Barcelona and la Biblioteca de la Universitat de Barcelona.
