August 30th is Saints Day of Sant Fèlix, who is the patron saint of Vilafranca del Penedès, which also celebrates its Festa Major in his honour.
Sant Fèlix was a Roman martyr, who probably died in the third or fourth century. His body was found in the catacombs of Calepodi near Rome and brought to Vilafranca del Penedès in 1699, when he was declared patron saint of the town.
According to the church, the body of the martyr can currently be found in the Basilica de Sant Maria in Vilafranca.
