1957 - Barcelona: The opening of Camp Nou, the new FC Barcelona stadium, which substitutes the Camp de les Corts.

1995 - Plaça Sant Jaume, Barcelona: Els Minyons de Terrassa build the first cinc de nou amb folre of the 20th century, 112 years after it was last done.

1995 - Plaça Sant Jaume, Barcelona: Els Castellers de Barcelona build the first 2 de 8 amb folre in their history.

1999 - Plaça Sant Jaume, Barcelona: Els Castellers de Barcelona build the first 4 de 9 amb folre in their history.


Births

1868 - Alacant: Tomàs López Torregrosa, Valencian sarsuela composer (died 1913).

1948 - Barcelona: Jaume Sisa, singer-songwriter.


Deaths

1804 - Jaume Pasqual, doctor in canonic and civil law, abott and prior of the Monastery of Bellpuig de les Avellanes and historian known mainly for his «Monumenta Cathaloniae».

2003 - Barcelona: Jordi Petit i Fontserè, Catalan economist.
