1904 - Alcoi: Juan Gil-Albert Simón, Valencian poet and essayist. (died 1994).
1910 - Barcelona: Rosa Leveroni i Valls, Catalan writer.
1918 - l'Aranyó, la Segarra: Manuel de Pedrolo i Molina, Catalan writer.
1930 - Barcelona: Victòria Sau i Sánchez. feminist writer, psychologist and political activist (died 2013).
1799 - Esparreguera: Narcís Casanoves i Bertran, Catalan composer and organist.
1966 - Barcelona: Josep Maria Pericas i Morros, Catalan architect who straddles the periods of Modernisme and Noucentisme (born 1881).
1971 - Sabadell: Gertrudis Artigas i Setó, expert on textiles and teacher at the Escola Industrial.
2016 - Barcelona: Josep Maria Dexeus i Trias de Bes, ginecologist.
In 2018, April 1st is Easter Sunday, which mainly a religious and family festival but there are also a number of sardana meetings throughout Catalonia.
