1688 - Vilamajor, Vallès Oriental: The Aixecament dels Barretines the Castilian terços.

1904 - Barcelona: With support from the Ateneu Barcelonès and Foment del Treball Nacional, Francesc Moragas i Barret founds the Caixa de Pensions per a la Vellesa i d'Estalvis de Catalunya i Balears.

1938 - Balaguer, Noguera: The Nationalist troops enter the town.


1913 - Barcelona: Antoni Clavé i Sanmartí, Catalan artist.

1926 - Calonge, Empordà: Lluís Vilar i Subirana, Catalan historian and cultural activista.

1978 - Barcelona: Josef Ajram Tarés, Catalan writer, sportsman and trader.


1419 - Gwened, Bretanya: Sant Vicent Ferrer, Valencian Dominican monk who spent his life travelling Europe preaching his moral and vision of Christianity (born 1350).

1574 - Palma, Mallorca: Santa Catalina Thomàs, Mallorcan Catholic religious figure.

1937 - València: Josep Benlliure i Gil, Valencian painter (born 1855).

1966 - Barcelona: Josep Maria Miró i Guibernau, Catalan architect (born 1889).
