1875 - la Seu d'Urgell: The Carlists are beaten and the Third Carlist War finishes.
1936 - Quart de Poblet, Horta Oest: The Valencian conservative politician Juan Bautista Valldecabres Rodrigo is assassinated.
1968 - Prada de Conflent: The Diades de Cultura (which goes on to 31st) begin, the following year it becomes Universitat Catalana d'Estiu.



1886 - Olot: Joaquim Masmitjà i de Puig, servant of God.
1985 - Benicàssim, la Plana Alta: Leopold Querol i Roso, Valencian pianist (born 1899).
2010 - Tavertet: Raimon Panikkar i Alemany, Catalan philosopher and theologian (born 1918).
