Cabrils is a municipality in the comarca of El Maresme and has a population of about 7,000 inhabitants. It is located inland between Vilassar de Mar, Vilassar de Dalt, Òrrius, Argentona and Cabrera de Mar and is about ten kilometres from Mataró, the comarca capital.
Cabrils is surrounded by the hills of Cirers and Montcabrer, among abundant forests of pines and holm oaks.
Traditionally, the economy of Cabrils was agricultural but now the town is mainly residential with a considerable amount of luxury housing developments and has the third highest per capita income in Catalonia and the eighth highest in Spain.
Cabrils has two Festa Majors, both of which honour Saint Helena, the mother of Constantine the Great.
By Road: If you're coming from Barcelona, you can get to Cabrils by taking the C-32 Motorways and turning off on the BV-5022.
