"The Catalans are more stupid than the Corsicans"

says French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo

"The Catalans, more idiotic than the Corsicans." The title on the cover of the latest issue of Charlie Hebdo, dedicated to the Catalan independence process that portrays a cartoon of three hooded and armed men placed behind a table covered with a white tablecloth and "demanding a debate", leaves no doubt about their opinion of the performance of the Government of Carles Puigdemont.

But just in case, he also makes it clear in his editorial, entitled "Idiotism or death": for the most irreverent French satirical magazine, the process is a farce that has generated a kind of absurd admiration in certain sectors of the European left who are not aware, it warns, that behind such a "high-sounding" word as independence "sometimes less noble is hiding."

If you think there's been an oversight or you can provide more more detail about a particular event, I'd be delighted to hear from you.
