Cheap Barcelona Raval Hotels

1 Star Accommodation in the City Centre

All these Cheap Barcelona Raval Hotels have 1 Star and in many respects look a better and cheaper option than many of the hotels I mention on the 2 Star Raval Hotels page, mainly because of.their location.

They are all located on the streets that branch off to your right as you walk down the top and central section of La Rambla from Plaça Catalunya Metro Station.

This really is an excellent place to stay and, whilst full of Raval character and authenticity, can really be described as Barcelona City Centre.

Given Barcelona's popularity as a touristI actually find it quite pleasing to find such reasonably priced accommodation in such a central location.

Further into the neighbourhood and further down the hill, you're a little way from the centre and to be perfectly honest El Raval can get a little bit seedy.

Obviously, these are Cheap Barcelona Raval Hotels so don't expect The Ritz, but if you're travelling on a budget all the establishments listed below look pretty good to me.

Hotel Peninsular

1 Star Barcelona Raval Hotel

Carrer de Sant Pau, 34
Ciutat Vella
08001 Barcelona

Hotel Peninsular offers amazing value in a brilliant location just off central section of La Rambla, which is known as La Rambla dels Caputxins.

You are also very close to Liceo Metro, which is on the Green L3 Metro Line, as well as the celebrated Boqueria Market.

Hotel Peninsular features functional, air-conditioned rooms with private bathrooms looking onto a bright central courtyard filled with plants.

The Peninsular offers a free Wi-Fi zone, 24-hour reception and luggage storage.

Hotel Aneto

1 Star Barcelona Raval Hotel

Carrer del Carme, 38
Ciutat Vella
08001 Barcelona

Located on Carrer del Carme a little way further up the Ramblas, on La Rambla dels Estudis, this excellent value-for-money hotel offers a 24-hour reception and air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi.

The rooms at Hotel Aneto feature tiled floors and simple décor with a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom.

The hotel has vending machines for snacks and drinks and you'll find plenty of cheap bars and restaurants nearby so finding somewhere to get something to eat and drink shouldn't be a problem.

Hotel Curious

1 Star Barcelona Raval Hotel

Carrer del Carme, 25
Ciutat Vella
08001 Barcelona

Hotel Curious Barcelona

A little closer to The Ramblas than Hotel Aneto, Hotel Curious is slightly more expensive whilst still very reasonably priced.

All rooms are air-conditioned with free Wi-Fi and satellite TV and the modern bathrooms are equipped with a hairdryer.

The Curious has a dining room where guests can enjoy a varied buffet breakfast and there is also a bar on the premises.

This makes Hotel Curious a pretty excellent option for the budget traveller, in my opinion.

Pensión Teruel

1 Star Barcelona Raval Hotel

Plaça Bonsuccés, 6-3
Ciutat Vella
08001 Barcelona

Pension Teruel is located just 70 metres from the top section of the Ramblas, known as La Rambla de Canaletes

Pensión Teruel is a little more basic than some of the others featured and Plaça Bonsuccés can be a bit noisy at night.

However, the rooms have a balcony and free Wi-Fi and includes central heating, a plasma TV and private bathroom with free toiletries.

Air conditioning is available for an extra charge and Pensión Teruel has a 24-hour reception.

Be Ramblas Hostel

1 Star Barcelona Raval Hotel

Carrer Nou de la Rambla, 50
Ciutat Vella
08001 Barcelona

Set on Carrer Nou de la Rambla in the heart of the funky Raval neighbourhood, Be Rambla Hostel is just a short walk from the Ramblas and the marvellous Plaça Reial.

You are also very close to Liceu Metro Station and nearby Carrer Ferran takes you into the heart of the Barri Gòtic.

It offers free Wi-Fi internet access, and the functional bedrooms have air conditioning, heating, a TV and lots of natural light.

Guests can make use of the Ramblas’communal kitchen and free daily breakfast.
