1979 - Madrid: The Boletín Oficial of the Spanish State publishes the Llei Orgànica 4/1979, of December 18th, on the the Statute of Autonomy of Catalonia.
2003 - Barcelona: The Ajuntament recovers the flag of Barcelona of 1906 and the shield with the royal crown, replacing the symbols that had been modified by Pasqual Maragall in 1996.
1810 - Sabadell: Feliu Llonch i Mates, Catalan factory owner.
1933 - Roda de Ter: Emili Teixidor i Viladecàs, teacher, journalist and writer in the Catalan language.
1951 - Rupit i Pruit, Osona: Àngel Colom i Colom, pro-independence Catalan politician, known as "Six Wings" because of his name and surnames.
1916 - Barcelona: Manuel Giró i Ribé, Catalan composer and organist (born 1848).
2006 - Barcelona (el Barcelonès): Cesc, Catalan illustrator and painter.
