1932 - Terrassa (Vallès Occidental): The anarchists attack and occupy Ajuntament.

2003 - Barcelona: Nearly 350,000 people come out on the street to protest against the probable invasion of Iraq against United States. Apart from the one in Rome, it was the biggest demonstration against the Iraq WAr in the world.

2008 - Castellar del Vallès: The first issue of Actual of Castellar del Vallès.


1878 - Sabadell, Vallès Occidental: Joan Vilatobà i Fígols, Catalan photographer and painter, one of the pioneers of the pictoralist movement in Spain.

1985 - Barcelona, Barcelonès: Víctor Tomàs i Gonzàlez, Catalan handball player.


1781 - Ollers, Vilademuls (Pla de l'Estany): Baldiri Reixac i Carbó, Catalan teacher and priest.

1919 - Vilassar de Mar (Maresme): Jaume Almera i Comas, geologist and paleontologist, founder of the Museu Geològic del Seminari de Barcelona and creator of the first geological map of the Province of Barcelona (born 1845).

1986 - Sabadell (Vallès Occidental): Carme Obradors i Domènech, social worker.

1995 - Palma (Mallorca): Guillem d'Efak, Mallorcan writer and singer.

2005 - Barcelona (Barcelonès): Josep Laporte i Salas, Catalan doctor and politician, president of the IEC and conseller of the Generalitat.

2008 - Barcelona (Barcelonès): Glòria Roig i Fransitorra, Catalan actress and voice artist.
