1867 - Tordera, Maresme: Prudenci Bertrana, Catalan modernista writer (died 1941).

1883 - Xàtiva, la Costera: Beat Gonçal Vinyes Massip, Valencian priest and poet.

1907 - Barcelona: Pere Pi Calleja, Catalan mathematician (died 1986).

1915 - Lleida: Víctor Torres, Catalan politician (died 2011).

1919 - Barcelona: Joan Brossa, Catalan poet, playwright and plastic artist.

1929 - Premià de Mar: Antoni Gutiérrez Díaz, el Guti, Catalan paediatrician and politician.


1305 - València: Roger de Llúria, military leader educated in the court of the King of Aragon (born 1250).

1939 - Sabadell: Eulàlia Garriga i Casals, teacher committed to the education and promotion of working women.
