1634 - Barcelona, Principat de Catalunya: Joan Sala i Ferrer alias "Serrallonga", Catalan bandit. (born 1594).

1906 - Girona: Tomàs Sivilla i Gener, Catalan bishop and jurist.

1919 - València: Joaquim Agrasot Juan, Valencian painter (39 years).

1932 - Palma: Antoni Maria Alcover, Mallorcan linguist and ecclesiast (born 1862).

1987 - Barcelona: Manuel Blancafort i de Rosselló, Catalan composer (born 1897).

1990 - Barcelona: Jaime Gil de Biedma, Catalan poet in the Spanish language (born 1929).
