1713 - Utrecht (Netherlands): A peace treaty is signed between Spain and Great Britain, as part of the Treaty of Utrecht, bringing the international conflict caused by the War of the Spanish Succession. In Article XIII, Felipe V rejects the English request that the Catalans should conserve their ancient privileges.

1866 - Altea, la Marina Baixa: Francesc Martínez i Martínez, Valencian historian (died 1946).

1903 - València: Ramon Stolz Viciano, Valencian painter of murals (died 1958).

Deaths

1905 - València: Josep Espí i Ulrich, Valencian composer and musician (died 1849).

1935 - Girona: Rafael Masó i Valentí, Catalan Noucentist architect, poet and politician (died 1880).
