1921 - València: Pere Maria Orts i Bosch, Valencian writer and philanthropist.

1923 - Castelló de la Plana: Josep Sánchez Adell, Valencian historian and cronicler (died 2005).

1923 - Figueres, Alt Empordà: Agapit Torrent i Batlle, musician, saxophonist, and composer, principally of sardanas (died 1991).


1817 - Palma de Mallorca: Luis de Lacy y Gautier, Andalusuan military leader (born 1772).

1998 - Barcelona (Barcelonès): Maria Mercè Marçal i Serra, writer.

2014 - Barcelona: Jordi Peix i Massip, Catalan agrarian activist, founder of the del Banc dels Aliments.
