1888 - Banyoles, Province of Girona: Josep Juncà i Juscafresa, composer of sardanas.
1891 - Sabadell, Province of Barcelona: Josep Rosell i Casablancas, writer and sports lover from Sabadell.
1962 - Cabrera de Mar, Maresme: Xavier Sala i Martín, Catalan economist and Professor of Columbia University.
