1343 - Palma (Mallorca): Pere III the Ceremonious is proclaimed King of Mallorca, and so the territories of the Kingdom of Mallorca are reincorporated into Crown of Aragon.
1976 - Barcelona: Rally at the Palau Blaugrana with the slogan "Guanyem la Llibertat". The constituent process of PSC-C begins. The first authorised democratic meeting since the end of the Spanish Civil War.
1914 - Barcelona: Alexandre Cirici i Pellicer, Catalan art critic, writer, politician and educator (died 1983).
1916 - Barcelona: Joan Baptista Cendrós i Carbonell, Catalan businessman, benefactor and cultural promoter (died 1986).
1925 - Benassal, Alt Maestrat: Sofia Salvador i Monferrer, writer and teacher (died 1995).
1926 - Barcelona: Marta Mata, pedagoga i diputada socialista al Parlament, les Corts Espanyoles i el Senat (died 2006).
