1920 - Sabadell: Joan Vilacasas, Catalan painter, engraver, potter, potter and collector.
1931 - Barcelona (Barcelonès): Alfons Borrell i Palazón, Catalan abstract painter.
1986 - Manacor, Mallorca: Rafael Nadal, professional tennis player.
1523 - Palma, Mallorca: Joanot Colom, leader of the Germanies de Mallorca, executed by the royal authorities.
1637 - Girona: Dalmau Ciurana, Dominican friar. He is considered venerable because of his religious life.
2012 - L'Alcúdia, Ribera Alta: Josep Lluís Bausset i Císcar, Valencian professor and cultural activist (born 1910).
2015 - Barcelona: Manuel Esteban i Marquilles, film director (born 1941).
