Located close to the Picasso Museum and El Born in the neighbourhood of Sant Pere, Santa Caterina i La Ribera, La Seca Espai Brossa is a performance space that promotes with all theatrical and paratheatrical activities associated with the artist, dramatist and poet Joan Brossa.
The Brossa Espai Escènic theatre was founded by actor and director Hermann Bonnín and magician Hausson in 1997 and initially occupied the space left by Teatre Tantarantana, when they moved to Carrer de Les Flors.
The group now occupies the much larger old Seca or Royal Mint of the Crown of Aragon and is one of the Fabriques de Creació or Creation Factories set up by the Ajuntament de Barcelona in 2007 so the artistic project is now much more ambitious and varied, covering music, theatre, dance, visual arts and circus.
