1749 - Tarragona: Bonaventura Prats, Catalan jesuit.

1879 - Sabadell: Joan Sallent i Prat, Catalan printer.

1912 - Girona: Xavier Montsalvatge i Bassols, composer of symphonic music and music critic.

1927 - Barcelona: Josep Maria Subirachs i Sitjar, Catalan sculptor, painter, engraver, set designer and art critic. His best known work is probably the Passion Facade of the basilica of the Sagrada Família in Barcelona.


1092 - Gerb, la Noguera: Ermengol IV of Gerb, Count of Urgell, conqueror of the Sió Basin and the Pla d'Urgell.

1931 - Sabadell, Vallès Occidental: Josep Renom i Costa, architect.

1949 - Barcelona: Joan Lamote de Grignon i Bocquet,  pianist, composer and conductor (born 1872).

2001 - Barcelona: Eugenio, Catalan comedian.

2001 - Palma, Illes Balears: Pere Quetglas Ferrer "Xam", artist.
