1829 - Torrevella: The earhquake of Torrevella.
1925 - Catalonia: Despite having promised the Lliga Regionalista that he wouldn't do it (in return for their support), Primo de Rivera dissolves the Mancomunitat de Catalunya.
1980 - Catalonia: The first elections to the Parliament since the Second Republic; Heribert Barrera is elected President of the Parliament and Jordi Pujol becomes President of the Generalitat.
1969 - Sabadell: Josep Garcia-Planas Cladellas, Catalan textile manufacturer.
