1907 - Benissanet, Ribera d'Ebre: Artur Bladé i Desumvila, Catalan journalist and writer (died 1995).

1909 - Vilajuïga, Alt Empordà: Salvador Dabau i Caussà, composer of sardanas and havaneras (died 2002).


1974 - Barcelona: Salvador Puig i Antich, anarchist executed by the Francoist authorities (born 1948).

2013 - Sabadell: Francesca Forrellad, Catalan writer (born 1927).
