1475 - County of Rosselló: after suffering 8 months of siege, the people of Perpignan accept Joan II's order to surrender to the French.
1730 - Castile: La Cámara del Consejo de Castilla agrees that «it has proceeded procedido always with reflection that the number of Castilians will always be greater in each court than the locals, and the public prosecutors will always be Castilian», regarding the Catalan institutions.
1840 - Barcelona: The first workers' association, la Mútua d'Obrers de la Indústria Cotonera, is founded.
1917 - València: The first Spanish trade fair institution Feria Muestrario Internacional de Valencia, is founded.
1452 - Sos del Rey Católico, Kingdom of Aragon: Fernando the Catholic, King of Aragon, 1479-1516), of Sicily (Fernando II) (1468-1516) and of Naples (Fernando III) (1504 1516); King Consort of Castile (Fernando V) (1474-1504) (died 1516).
1877 - Barcelona: Paulí Castells i Vidal, Catalan industrial engineer and mathematician.
1897 - València: Josefina Robledo Gallego, Valencian guitarist (died 1972).
1916 - Sabadell: Joan Alsina i Giralt, Sabadell historian (died 2005).
1916 - Barcelona: Sofia Puche de Mendlewicz, Catalan pianist and music teacher (died 2015).
1966 - Barcelona: Teresa Forcades i Vila, Catalan doctor, theologian and Benedictine nun.
1951 - València (l'Horta): Josep Manuel Izquierdo Romeu, Valencian musician and composer (born 1890).
