Located in L'Esquerra Antiga de l'Eixample at Carrer de la Diputació, 249 between Carrer de Balmes and Rambla de Catalunya, Monvinic really is an exceptional space in all senses of the word.
As The Wall Street Journal said of Monvinic "I haven't been to every wine bar in the world but Monvinic in Barcelona is certainly the best I've been to in recent memory."
Monvinic actually consists of a wine cellar, a culinary space and a wine bar and apart from extraordinary food and wine they also organise tasting and talks and have a reference library.
What I really like is how different the mood of the two main spaces are and we mustn't forget the laid back atmosphere on the outdoor terrace.
Being a wine bar, Monvinic also hosts small combo jazz gigs and is one of the venues for the Barcelona Jazz Festival.
