1660 - la Cerdanya: In accordance with the Treaty of the Pyrenees signed on November 7th the previous year, Kingdom of France occupies what is now Alta Cerdanya and the town of Llívia becomes an enclave.

1959 - Reus, Baix Camp: Ernest Benach i Pascual, Catalan politician, member of ERC and president of the Parliament of Catalonia (2003-10).
1983 - Barcelona: Joan Sales, Catalan writers, translator and publisher, author of Incerta glòria (born 1912).
