1708 - Dénia (la Marina Alta): Franco-Castilian troops occupy the town during the War of the Spanish Succession.

1957 - Barcelona: Joaquim Serra, composer of a large number of well-known sardanas (born 1907).
2007 - Barcelona: Gregorio López Raimundo, Left-wing Catalan politician originally from Aragon (born 1914).
2011 - Barcelona (Catalonia): Enric Garriga i Trullols, Catalan activist and Occitanist.
