1941 - Barcelona: Xavier Romeu i Juvé, Catalan writer, teacher and pro-independence marxist politician.

1941 - Terrassa (Vallès Occidental): Marta Pessarrodona, Catalan poet, storyteller and literary critic.
1953 - Reus (Baix Camp): Pere Anguera i Nolla, Catalan writer and historian (died 2010).


1899 - Barcelona: Pilar Pascual de Sanjuán, Catalan teacher, feminist and writer (born 1827).
1950 - Sabadell (Vallès Occidental): Antoni Estruch i Serrabogunyà, Catalan footballer from the 1920s 1920 (born 1899).
1986 - Barcelona: Josep Iglésies i Fort, Catalan geographer, historian and writer (born 1902).
2004 - Altafulla (el Tarragonès): Miquel Porter i Moix, Catalan cinema critic and historian, filmaker, singer (one of the Setze Jutges), trades unionist and rector of the Universitat Catalana d'Estiu.
2009 - Manresa: Jaume Melendres i Inglès, playwright and theatre director.
