2004 - Guadalajara (Mexico): Pasqual Maragall opens the Book Fair which, under the auspices of the Institut Ramon Llull, has Catalan culture as guest of honour and will be visited by 450,000 people.


1810 - Moià: Gervasi Costa i Llobateras, scientífic educator and priest (died 1851).
1873 - Barcelona: Jeroni Zanné i Rodríguez, noucentista poet and writer.
1898 - Barcelona: Marià Manent i Cisa, Catalan poet, prose writer, literari critic, biographer, translator and cultural activist (died 1988).
1909 - Barcelona: Irene Polo, Catalan journalist, publicist and theatre performer (died 1942).
1962 - València: Manuel Cervera Taulet, Valencian doctor and politician, Health Minister for the Generalitat Valenciana (2007-).
1990 - Barcelona: Ernest Cabré, lawyer, grandson of the co-founder EAE, Carmelo Mª Cabré Rabadà.


1849 - Onda (la Plana Baixa): Joaquim Oliet i Cruella, Valencian neoclassical painter (born 1775).
1900 - Barcelona: Francesc Soler i Rovirosa, painter and stage designer, considered the maximum exponent of realist stage design in Catalonia (born 1836).
1922 - Barcelona: Domenec Ceret i Vilà, Catalan actor and film director.
1945 - Barcelona: Josep Maria Sert i Badia, Catalan painter (born 1874).
1972 - València: Joan Pere Segura de Lago, Valencian architect.
1983 - Madrid: Rosa Sabater i Parera, Catalan pianist and teacher (born 1929).
