1926 - Prats de Molló, Vallespir: The invasion of Catalonia from Catalunya Nord led by Francesc Macià and the leadership of Estat Català was discovered and aborted


1798 - Barcelona: Bonaventura Carles Aribau, writer, economist, politician and civil servant. Author of Oda a la Pàtria, the poem that effectively launched the Renaixença.

- Reus, Baix Camp: Antoni de Bofarull i de Brocà,  Catalan historian, poet, novelista and playwright (died 1892).

- Calonge, Empordà: Enric Lluís Roura i Vilaret, cork manufacturer and politician of the Lliga Regionalista.

- Palma, Mallorca: Maria Antònia Salvà i Ripoll, Mallorcan poet.

- Barcelona: Tomàs Alcoverro i Muntané, Catalan journalist.
