2008 - The Castellers de Sants, builds the first castell of 9 levels in its history (3 de 9 amb folre) in Sants (Barcelona).  

2014 - The Castellers de Sants, builds the first gamma extra castell in its history (2 de 9 amb folre i manilles) in Sants (Barcelona).

1838 - Tarragona: Marià Rius i Montaner, Catalan businessman and politician (died 1894).
   
1973 - Alaquàs (Horta Oest): Jorge Alarte, Valencian politician, mayor of Alaquàs (1999-2009) and general secretary of PSPV (2008-2012).
   
1977 - Santa Coloma de Gramenet (Barcelonès): Raúl Tamudo, Catalan footballer, highest goalscorer in the history of RCD Espanyol.

Deaths

1522 - València: Vicent Peris, leader of the Germanies de València, killed in an attack on his home by the royalist army commanded by the Marquis of Cenete.
   
1978 - l'Havana: Ramon Mercader, Catalan soldier and politician, best known as the assassin of Lev Trotski.
   
1995 - L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Baix Llobregat: Lluís Ferran de Pol, Catalan writer (born 1911).
