1349 - Llucmajor, Mallorca: at where is now the Camp de sa Batalla, the Battle of Llucmajor is fought, in which the troops of Pere III the Cerimonious derroten les de Jaume III de Mallorca, per la qual cosa el primer incorporarà de la Corona d'Aragó el regne de Mallorca.
1521 - Mallorca: la Germania proclaims Joanot Colom instador of the people, in other words, head of the agermanats, as successor to Joan Crespí, who had murdered by his brother Francesc Colom.
1979 - Catalonia: the referendum on the Catalan Statute of Autonomy, known as the Estatut de Sau, is held.The referendum has a participation of 60.5% of the Catalan electorate and is passed by 88.1% of the voters.
1998 - Girona: Els Minyons de Terrassa build the first 4 de 9 sense folre of the 20th century, 117 years after it was achieved for the first and only time in history.
2005 - Barcelona: former Senator Lluís Maria Xirinacs is arrested accused of supporting terrorism after declaring himself a "friend of ETA"; he was released two days later (October 27th) due to his age.
1858 - Barcelona: Antoni de Paula Capmany i Borri, businessman, Catalanist and patron.
1893 - Colònia Güell, Santa Coloma de Cervelló: Joaquim Folguera i Poal, Catalan poet and literary critic (died 1919).
1961 - València: Chimo Bayo, Valencian DJ and producer.
