Located on the mountain of Montjuïc, the Palau Sant Jordi is a sports arena and multi-purpose installation that was originally built for the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games.
Although still occasionally a sports venue for major events and also conventions, the Palau's main purpose today is to host concerts given by major international stars, whose world tours stop of in Barcelona.
The venue has a capacity for 18,000 spectators and some of the big names who have played here include Bruce Springsteen, U2, Queen, Madonna, Coldplay, Rihanna and Lady Gaga.
The Palau is a particularly good concert venue as the ramped seating give a great view of the stage and screens, although the acoustics can be a bit boomy at times.
