Sant Iscle de Vallalta is a tiny municipality of about 1,000 people located in the comarca of El Maresme inland from the coast in the valley of the Sant Pol river below the Montnegre mountain range.
About half of the municipality is inside the boudaries of Parc del Montnegre i el Corredor and comprises the three main nuclei of Can Ginebre, la Font del Montnegre and the main centre Sant Iscle de Vallalta, which has a few shops and a couple of bars and restaurants.
The church of Sant Iscle was consacrated in the 11th century and the town is mentioned in documentation of the 15th century, when it included Canet de Mar.
By Road: A local road links Sant Iscle de Vallalta with Arenys de Munt and with Sant Pol de Mar.
