Sant Vicenç de Montalt

A Lovely Quiet Inland Town in El Maresme

Sant Vicenç de Montalt is a municipality of about 6,000 people located in the comarca of El Maresme below the el Corredor range between Sant Andreu de Llavaneres and Arenys de Mar.

The municipality has a short section of coastline but the town itself is set a couple of kilometres inland.

This lovely quite Catalan town is centred around a few main streets and a square where you'll find a few shops, bars and restaurants.

On the edges of town there are a number of traditional Catalan country houses as well as various defence towers dating from the time when this part of the Catalan coast was under attack from Moorish pirates.

There is also a popular golf course and club at Golf Sant Vicenç and the picture below shows Bar Casinet, which is where we've always stopped for breakfast everytime we've been to Sant Vicenç.
