1852 - Tarragona: Josep Yxart i de Moragas, Catalan literary critic.

1891 - Súria (Bages): Josep Rosas i Vilaseca, Sabadell trades unionist.

1920 - Barcelona: Miquel Arimany i Coma, Catalan writer and publisher.

1934 - Sabadell: Feliu Formosa i Torres, Catalan writer and director.

1940 - Barcelona: Joaquim Soler i Ferret, Catalan writer and literary critic, member of the Ofèlia Dracs collective.

1946 - Girona: Josep Casadevall, Andorran lawyer. President of the third section of the European Tribunal on European Human Rights.

Deaths

2000 - Abbey of Montserrat: Maur Maria Boix i Selva, Montserrat monk, editor of the magazine Serra d'Or and responsible for the Publicacions de l'Abadia de Montserrat.
