There is a wide choice of Bus Services running from Barcelona Airport to Barcelona City Centre and other destinations around Catalonia and the rest of Spain.
Until recently Airport Buses were definitely the best way to get to the city centre if you were arriving at Terminal 1 (T1) as the RENFE railway station is at Terminal 2.
However, with the opening of the new L9 Metro Line in March 2016, there is now a metro service from both terminals, which although it involves a change of line takes you straight to the city centre for €4.50.
Buses and coaches also go to other destinations in Catalonia and Spain, and catching a coach directly at the airport is often more convenient
A train to these destinations would generally involve a change in Barcelona City Centre so Barcelona Airport Coach services are particularly appropriate for destinations in south of the airport, such as Castelldefels, Sitges or Salou.
