One and Two-Star Rooms on Barcelona’s Famous Avenue
There are a surprising number of cheap Barcelona Ramblas hotels located on La Rambla, the city’s most famous and celebrated street.
All the one and two star Ramblas hotels described here are located between Plaça Catalunya and where Plaça Reial meets Carrer Nou de la Rambla on La Rambla dels Caputxins, also known as La Rambla del Centre.
This really is the best section of La Rambla to be both because of its proximity to great places to visit and for safety reasons.
Further down closer to the port can be a bit rough, especially at night, but here in the middle and upper section of La Rambla you are close to the most authentic and visitor-friendly parts of the Barri Gòtic and El Raval.
The majority of these cheap Ramblas hotels used to be pensions or hostels but have been renovated and refurbished in recent years in order to offer decent reasonably-priced accommodation in a fantastic location.
The magnificent Hotel Lloret is an exception to this rule and it really does surprise me that this piece of Ramblas history only has 1 Star!
Rather than basing this selection of Cheap Ramblas Hotels on my own personal preferences, I’ve ordered them starting close to Plaça Catalunya on La Rambla de Canaletes and working down towards Plaça Reial and La Rambla del Centre.
